Bummed that you can’t be in the USA for Slipknot‘s self-curated festival KnotFest next weekend? Well, help is at hand, for a small cost.
The band have outlined their plans to stream their set at the festival via pay-per-view in an eight-minute trailer, which they’ve just put up on YouTube.
Titled ‘Road to Knotfest – Ritual No. 1′, the trailer features insights from frontman Corey Taylor, drummer Joey Jordison, percussionists Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan and Chris Fehn, and guitarist Mick Thomson.
Those who subscribe to the pay-per-view stream will be able to watch the concert in real time, while also having the ability to pause, rewind and re-watch the show at their convenience over the next 30 days. They’ll also get access to extra video content and interviews with the band. Watch the trailer below.
It’s not the first time the band have done something like this. They recently teamed up with TodoCast and Event View Live to offer their show from Somerset, Wisconsin as an online pay-per-view event.
KnotFest is taking place in Iowa on August 17 and Minneapolis on August 18. Joining Slipknot at the festival are Lamb of God, Machine Head, Deftones, Serj Tankian and a handful of other guests.
