Hot on the heels of announcing their forthcoming sixth studio album WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND, Slipknot have gone on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their new slammer ‘Unsainted’ and scare the sh*t out of non-metalheads with their creepy new masks.
They also used the opportunity to debut a mysterious new ninth member, who filled out their ranks on the custom percussion in the shoes of OG Chris Fehn, who exited the band earlier this year (and not on the best of terms FYI).
“We are excited to share with you the next evolution of #Slipknot tomorrow night,” the band tweeted prior to their appearance on the tele. “Our two song performance on @JimmyKimmelLive will mark the live world premieres of ‘Unsainted’ and ‘All Out Life’. Are you ready?”
The band tore late night TV a new one, with frontman Corey Taylor — who FYI just underwent double-knee surgery — looking to be in pretty good shape as he worked the stage like the maggot master he is.
While the ‘Knot’s mystery second percussionist banged on kegs in a metal mask alongside Shawn “Clown” Crahan.
Who is this mysterious new #3? We’re sure we’ll find out in due time.
