Watch Slipknot’s New Lineup Make Its Live Debut At Knotfest

Slipknot‘s new Soundwave-bound lineup made its live debut on Saturday, 25th October, and pro-shot footage of the performance has now surfaced online. Shot during the band’s set at Knotfest 2014, the footage doesn’t reveal the identities of the group’s new drummer and bassist. It does prove that they can still rock out with the best, though.

Slipknot’s 2014 Knotfest performance began with the introductory interlude (515). As soon as the curtain covering the Californian Knotfest stage rose, the band’s refreshed lineup jumped straight into Iowa cut People = Shit. The band’s set (in full, below) included the first live performances of new tracks The Negative One and Custer.

The identities of Slipknot’s new drummer and bassist remain under wraps, with unconfirmed rumours circulating that Jay Weinberg, former Against Me! drummer, has replaced ex-Slipknot sticksman Joey Jordison.

All we know about the band’s new additions wear the same style mask, that Slipknot may have “missed the mark” on keeping the new bassist’s trademark tattoos a secret, and that the new drummer isn’t Lamb Of God’s Chris Adler — and is actually a “shitbag” according to Laura Jane Grace.

Slipknot released their their first album in six years, .5: The Gray Chapter, a couple weeks ago. The band also headlined Knotfest alongside the likes of Testament, Anthrax, Danzig, Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat.

Slipknot will headline Soundwave 2015. Watch their 2014 Knotfest set in full, below.
