Footage has emerged of The Smith Street Band teaming up with a member of fellow Aussie rockers The Bennies to reprise their cover of a classic Nirvana track.
In Manchester on Saturday night, The Smith Street Band were joined on stage by The Bennies’ Craig Selak (The Bennies are supporting Smith Street’s current European tour), for a sweaty performance of Nirvana’s Nevermind track ‘Territorial Pissings’, bringing back memories of former Smith Street and The Bennies project Lee Hartney Sex Drive. Watch the clip, below.
The Smith Street Band have been covering ‘Territorial Pissings’ on their current Europe tour, after covering other Nirvana tracks like ‘Drain You’ in the past.
Speaking of covers, The Smith Street band recently said that they’d love to cover a song by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard if they get to take part in triple j‘s covers segment Like A Version again.
The Bennies, meanwhile, will return to Australia later this month ahead of their appearance at Brisbane’s Dead Of Winter Fest.
