Dave Grohl and the Sound City Players are seemingly popping up everywhere – and at the end of last week, arguably the world’s most well-known talk show was the latest stop.
Grohl, the players, and Stevie Nicks dropped by David Letterman to perform their collaboration from the movie soundtrack, You Can’t Fix This – on The Late Show. You can watch the performance and a brief interview between Grohl and Letterman at the bottom of the page.
You Can’t Fix This is the third song that we’ve heard from the forthcoming Sound City: Reel to Reel compilation. The Sir Paul McCartney/Nirvana collaboration Cut Me Some Slack was unveiled at the 12.12.12 concert in December, while the Corey Taylor-led From Can to Can’t surfaced last month.
Following the film’s premiere last month, the Sound City soundtrack – Reel to Reel will be out on 6th March 6, along with the release of the Grohl-directed documentary on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Grohl revealed last week that the Sound City Players were planning to come to Sydney for a one-off show as part of their world tour to promote the film and soundtrack.
