Watch This String Quartet Crash A Sydney Whiskey Bar To Play The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Theme

A string quartet has held a guerrilla gig at an inner-western Sydney venue to express their turntness for the big premiere of Game Of Thrones season 7, which as we all know, finally happened today.

To wet Redfern punters’ goblets for the much-frothed season opener and its controversial Ed Sheeran cameo, the ensemble, dubbed Accent Strings, stopped by Viking-themed whiskey bar Mjølner to delight drinkers with the HBO show’s iconic “dun-duh, duh-duh-dun-duh, duh-duh-dun-dah” theme tune.

It was in honour of new artist booking platform Six8, which uses the sharing economy to help Aussie artists score more gigs.

“Out of Redfern and into Westeros in celebration of the highly anticipated new season of Game of Thrones,” the organisation posted on Facebook.

Catch footage of their performance below, as you prepare to watch s07e01 another ten more times before next Monday.
