Recent Hottest 100 bronze medallist Tash Sultana has taken to the triple j studios to cover MGMT’s huge 2007 single ‘Electric Feel’, for her debut performance on Like A Version.
Sultana, who has never played a cover live before, stripped ‘Electric Feel’ back to guitar, percussion and vocals, twisting the song through a bunch of guitar pedals to give the track some seriously soulful and spacey vibes.
Drawing the song out to around eight minutes in length, Sultana added an up-beat closing section featuring dancefloor-ready beats and a wild guitar solo, turning the track into a legit rock odyssey.
While in the triple j studios, Sultana also performed her hit single ‘Jungle’, which came in third on triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2016 behind Amy Shark’s ‘Adore’ and Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’.
Sultana, who is currently collaborating with Matt Corby on some new tunes, recently announced some new national tour dates, only to have the entire tour sell out in a matter of days. She’s also recently been announced on the 2017 Groovin The Moo lineup.
