If you’re like us, you’re still getting over The 1975‘s incredible Splendour In The Grass set, but now we have footage of them performing at Apple Music Festival in London, so get ready to relive their live show.
Backed by an incredible light show, Matt Healy and company brought their personable live set to the stage, beginning with the bravado of Love Me and closing it out with the youthful Sex.
With The 1975, it’s all about the full live package, from the music to the performance to the visuals, and so impressive are the visuals that the band’s light show has actually won an award.
The group were awarded the 2016 Aytron Award at The Knight Of Illumination Awards, which are apparently a thing, over the weekend. Tobias G Rylander worked on the lights with the band, and he’s also worked on spectacular live setups with The xx, FKA twigs and The Strokes.
You can see exactly why the lights won the prize in the video of The 1975’s Apple Music Festival performance, because they look damn incredible.
