The Flaming Lips and Bon Iver have released their graphic music video for their collaborative effort, Ashes In The Air, featuring a spaceman with an eye for a head, a meat grinder and a singing baby.
The video, taken from last year’s collaboration compilation album The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends, was originally slated for release last December, but was delayed for reasons unknown. There’s plenty of blood, nudity and the general amount of weirdness you’d expect from any project with The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne at the helm. Check the clip out below – but probably not while you’re at work.
This follows last month’s news that the musical based on The Flips Grammy award-winning album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots could appear on Broadway in the near future.
The Flaming Lips’ 13th studio album The Terror is released locally 12th April.
