Watch The ‘Classic’ Smashing Pumpkins Lineup’s First Reunion Performance Go Down On ‘Fallon’

The Smashing Pumpkins have smashed out their first live performance since the ‘classic’ lineup of Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha reformed.

Appearing onstage together for the first time in almost two decades on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the three OG Pumpkins busted out their 1995 single ‘Zero’ from their classic Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness LP, alongside their freshly minted reunion single ‘Solara’.

Longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder and touring bassist Jack Bates joined them for the milestone performance.

Notably absent, though, was OG bassist D’arcy Wretzky, who’s been involved in an ugly and very public mud-slinging match with Corgan since her exclusion from the band’s big reunion.

The 3/4 reunited Pumpkins are believed to be releasing two new EPs in the near future, and embarking on a North American tour under the banner of Shiny And Oh So Bright.

No Australian dates have been announced yet, but fingers crossed those won’t be far off.

Watch the classic Pumpkins make their live reunion official on Fallon in the clips below.
