Watch The Weeknd’s Halftime Show Set For The 2021 Super Bowl

The Weeknd has delivered his massive Super Bowl Halftime Show! It’s Super Bowl 2021 Day and the most coveted musical performance of all: the halftime show has finally landed.

The set begins with The Weeknd sitting amongst a faux city, after hours. He’s floated down to the bottom of the set where a grand stand breaks apart to reveal the artist in his customary red suit.

He opens the set with ‘Starboy’. Meanwhile a full-on, angelic choir supports him from behind.

He breaks into ‘The Hills’ for an emphatic, condensed performance. Then comes ‘Can’t Feel My Face’. It sees the iconic singer walk backstage into a room that looks almost identical to the ‘Blinding Lights’ video set.

Running through hit after hit, The Weeknd delivers ‘I Feel It Coming’, ‘Save Your Tears’, and ‘Earned It’.

A bunch of The Weeknd look-a-likes in white face masks then march around in formation before breaking apart for the main event. The After Hours artist gives us a full-bodied, totally insane rendition of ‘Blinding Lights’.

Utilising the entirety of the Super Bowl field, the red-suited group perform the ‘Blinding Lights’ TikTok dance. How good!!

At halftime, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are beating the Kansas City Chiefs 21-6.

The Weeknd has recently revealed that his forthcoming album, the follow up to 2020’s After Hours, will be inspired by the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement.

He’s also opened up about how he felt after After Hours missed out on a nomination for the 2020 Grammy Awards.

“People told me I was going to get nominated. The world told me. Like, ‘This is it; this is your year.’ We were all very confused,” he said.
