As NME reports, The Prodigy‘s late singer Keith Flint has been paid tribute with an extensive Christmas light display in the Essex town of Braintree, where the band formed back in 1990.
Made up of over 3,000 bulbs which sync to classic Prodigy songs like ‘Out of Space, ‘Warriors Dance’ and ‘Omen’, Essex man Rik Burt told Essex Live that the ‘Omen’ section alone took around 30 hours to program.
“I’m into my metal mainly, but The Prodigy bridged the divide between the genres really well,” said Burt.
“I saw them live but it was very surreal when we heard [Flint] was gone,” he added, hoping that “one of the members of the band might see” the display.
Keith Flint was found dead in March of this year.
The light show is part of an annual effort by residents of Burt’s street, which raises money for various charities. This year, Burt is raising money for Farleigh Hospice in Essex – you can find out more and make a donation here.
