The worlds of pop-punk and Aussie hip-hop collided on Illy’s latest album Two Degrees, and now the MC’s collab with Tonight Alive frontwoman Jenna McDougall has its own music video.
The clip for ‘Oh My’ — a song catchy enough to cement itself in your brain after just one listen — is packing a bit of a nostalgic vibe, following a young girl scouring a scrap yard to make a go-cart, and was shot in LA by director Mark Staubach, with both artists on the scene.
“The track is a shout out to incredible women, and I think the video really represents the song well,” Illy explains.
While Jenna adds: “I really admire Illy’s artistry. Collaborating with him on the track was super natural and we had a great time on set together! I loved singing on a song that praises women but has nothing to do with love. That’s bad ass to me. It was actually freezing the day we shot the video in LA but ‘Oh My’ brings the Aussie summer vibes.”
Meanwhile, Jenna’s band Tonight Alive recently kicked off their “new chapter” with a brand new single and label deal with Hopeless Records/UNFD.
