A Tribe Called Quest pulled off a spectacular performance on SNL over the weekend.
Q-Tip and the remaining members of the group performed a brand new song We The People from their new album live for the first time.
We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service was released just a couple of days ago, and A Tribe Called Quest brought the house down on SNL with a performance that included the vocals of Phife Dawg eminating from a colourful banner that unfurled from the ceiling.
After Q-Tip performed his verse, he and Jarobi provided call-and-responses to Phife’s raps – also holding the mic up to his poster in what was a hugely emotional performance for all involved.
After that, the group performed another track from the new album called The Space Program with Busta Rhymes and Consequence.
