Triple j went live this Friday for their annual Good Az Friday celebrations as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. During the live broadcast Aussie troubadour Vance Joy stopped by to perform a live cover of Radiohead’s Fake Plastic Trees for Like A Version.
Joy delivered a heartfelt rendition of the 1995 track, taken from Radiohead’s second album The Bends. Starting off with just an acoustic guitar and some keys, Joy built the song to a crescendo supported by added drums, guitar and a horn section. Watch the performance below.
Vance Joy is about to head off on a north American tour that also includes stops at various festivals like Boston Calling, New York’s Governors Ball and Coachella. He’ll also be supporting Taylor Swift on both her upcoming US and Australian tour dates.
