English rockers Wolf Alice have mashed up Charli XCX‘s hit single ‘Boys’ with The Cure‘s ‘Boy’s Don’t Cry’ for triple j‘s Like A Version covers segment.
Recently in town for Laneway Festival, Wolf Alice hit up the triple j studios to respond to Charli XCX’s appearance on Like A Version late last year, when she performed a cover of Wolf Alice’s ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’.
Returning the favour, Ellie Rowsell and company performed a rocked-up version of ‘Boys’, which morphed into a mashup with Robert Smith’s lyrics from ‘Boys Don’t Cry’.
While in the triple j studios, Wolf Alice also performed a stripped-back version of ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’. Watch both performances, below.
