Pioneer of the horrorpunk movement Wednesday 13 has set Australia in his sights with a run of headlining tour dates starting Wednesday, 30th October. The one-man nightmare will be toting his latest sonic assault, 2013’s The Dixie Dead and all the horrors that dwell within.
Over the years, Wednesday 13 has taken us on rollercoaster ride through his twisted, dark imagination with an array of albums and EPs. The Dixie Dead dropped back in February of this year so by now fans are sure to be well accustomed to the levels of debauchery that will soon be on our shores.
Australian fans of Wednesday 13 have been pretty well looked after, with the band rocking up for shows just last year. However, as any fan of riff-driven macabre will know, there’s no such thing as too much. Especially during Halloween season.
UPDATE: Melbourne industrial four-piece Witchgrinder have been announced as the support act for all three of Wednesday 13’s Australian tour dates. The band unveiled their blistering debut LP, The Demon Calling back in May. Known for their dynamic live performances, the band derive their inspiration from “the classic horror/sci-fi stories that make your skin crawl.”
