Once again, the iconic Glastonbury Festival has come and gone. As Australians, it’s now our unfortunate duty to sit back, and look on as all those in attendance revel in their experiences and go on and on about how we totally should have been there. Well, we’ve put together a list of some of the best moments of this year’s event to combat this all too familiar feeling of FOMO.
With a festival line up that featured the best in current and time-tested talent, it’s inevitable for one-off collaborations between artists as well as new material to be showcased as artists do their best to subtly steal the thunder from their peers.
Some of the line up will be in town in a matter of weeks for Splendour In The Grass, so we’ve included some of them also, should you not already be excited enough. Even the headliners left nothing to chance. Mumford And Sons went to extreme lengths to blow the crowd away, tagging both Vampire Weekend and The Vaccines for a killer performance of Help From My Friends.

Watch: Primal Scream feat. Haim – Rocks
The 3-piece sister act Haim joined Primal Scream on stage for a version of Rocks unlike any other, packing some serious tambourine action. Not unlike the serious tambourine, tri-harmonied action we can expect at Splendour In The Grass.

Watch: Bobby Womack feat. Damon Albarn – Please Forgive My Heart
Damon Albarn lent a hand to Womack on his 2012 album The Bravest Man in the Universe so we’re sure dedicated fans saw this one coming. That doesn’t change the fact it was an amazing moment Albarn joined Womack for a number of tracks onstage, all at varying degree of awesome with Please Forgive My Heart being the awesome-est.

With her full-length album a hot topic, Azealia Banks performed a new track she’s assured us will find its way onto the release. Pharrell Williams wasn’t there in person, but his guest vocals are easy to pick on this new track from Banks which you can watch at 40:53 (this is her full set).

Deap Vally are a must-see at Splendour In The Grass this year. The duo were in town not too long ago for a promotional tour, but we can expect something much more along the lines of this level of madness upon their return.
