This 12-Year-Old Legend Might Open For AC/DC

This budding rockstar might not yet be old enough to shave, but he could end up opening for AC/DC in Scotland after a video of him jamming to You Shook Me All Night Long went viral, sparking an online movement to get him sharing the stage with the Aussie rockers.

Fans of 12-year-old Glasweigian guitar-slinger Kris McDowall have joined forces with Acca Dacca’s official fan club to spawn a Facebook campaign pushing for ‘Wee Kris’ to support the Aussie rock legends when they perform at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on June 15th.

“Wee Kris has been playing the guitar since he was 5 years old after seeing AC/DC perform live on TV,” the support page says. “His dream is to support them, please help.”

“It would mean the world to me to open for AC/DC because I have always been their biggest fan,” McDowall himself told Loudwire. “I am really grateful for all the support I’ve received. It’s really encouraging for me to know that people believe in me, as much as I believe in myself.”

To throw your weight behind the pint-sized axeman’s quest to play with the big dogs of rock, head to the campaign’s official Facebook page, or check out the clip of Wee Kris busking to You Shook Me All Night Long, below.
