The festival – now in its 12th year – is happening on Saturday November 24 at the Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Beach. Widely considered to be a launch pad for emerging filmmakers, the festival has received more than 3000 film submissions since it was created.
Recently, the festival board chose 14 finalists for this year’s event, all of whom will be competing for seven different awards and a prize pool valued at over $10,000. They will be judged by a panel of highly respected award-winning members of the Australian film and television industry.
WeWood Watches have jumped on board as one of the major sponsors for the festival this year – they’re providing an eco-friendly package to the winner of the ‘Best Film’ category. Along with making some nice time-wear, the company like to do their bit for the environment as well.
