Wiz Khalifa Sued For $2.3 million

Wiz Khalifa is being sued for $2.3 million by fellow U.S. rapper Maxamillion, according to NME.

Maxamillion – real name Max Warren – alleges that Khalifa’s track Black And Yellow stole elements from his own song Pink N Yellow, which he copyrighted in 2008.

Warren has reportedly filed a lawsuit in a federal court in Philadelphia against Khalifa – real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz – and two other songwriters, as well as several record companies.

A spokesman for Khalifa’s label Atlantic Records has not yet commented on the dispute, while Warren has also declined to speak publicly about the lawsuit.

Black and Yellow featured on Khalifa’s debut album Rolling Papers, which was released in March last year.  The track was a No.1 single in the U.S. and a No.5 hit on the UK charts.
