Woods and Kurt Vile Release Split 7″

Brooklyn’s finest psych-folk rockers Woods have teamed up with equally estimable indie favourite Kurt Vile for an intriguing split 7″, designed to commemorate the fact the two acts toured together in recent months. More bands should do this.

The five-track release sees two tracks from Jeremy Earl’s Woods vehicle, and three from former member of War On Drugs, Kurt Vile. The 7″ was snuck out on Earl’s Woodsist records, with only TinyMixTapes picking up on the release, which given the quality of each artist’s most recent album, will certainly be worth hearing.

The tracklisting for the 7″ can be found below, along with one of the choice cuts from Woods’ latest album Sun and Shade:

A1. Woods, Skull

A2. Woods, Cold Blue

B1. Kurt Vile, Commercial Reject

B2. Kurt Vile, In/Out Blues

B3. Kurt Vile, Water Fingers
