West Coast hip-hop mainstay Xzibit, who kicks off his highly anticipated 2014 Australian tour this Saturday at Meche in Canberra, has been announced as the headliner for the launch of Miind, a new nightclub located on Sydney’s Oxford Street that hopes to change the city’s night scene.
Detonating out of the West Coast rap scene in 1996 with his acclaimed debut album, At the Speed of Life, Xzibit went on to become one of hip-hop’s hardest working entertainers, most prolific collaborators, and through Pimp My Ride, even one of its most enduring mainstream pop icons.
Having already announced dates for Canberra, Melbourne, Broome, Adelaide, and more, Xzibit and his entourage will now helm a bill set to feature “some of Australia’s biggest artists” to help launch Miind, club owner Kunal Singh‘s state-of-the-art night spot and Sydney’s first fully themed venue.
