After 15 years together, experimental rock mainstays Yeasayer have announced that the band is coming to an end.
In a brief statement posted to social media, the band said they each of its three members have collectively decided that “Yeasayer has reached its end.”
“It is a decision that has not been made lightly or swiftly, but the three of us agree that that it is the right one at the right time.”
This announcement comes shortly before the band are supposed to embark on their first Australian tour in seven years at the top of 2020. Via TheMusic, the tour’s promoter has confirmed that the shows have been cancelled and refunds will be made available to those who purchased tickets from the point of purchase.
