French electro-pop duo Yelle are set to return to Australia in just over two months time for a run of headline shows in support of their new album, Complètement Fou, presented by Music Feeds.
Yelle will be bringing their crisp synth-pop tones to crowds in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this March. Co-founded by Yelle, (real name Julie Budet) and GrandMarnier (real name Jean-François Perrier) in 2005, the pair are known for their unabashed pop energy, neon-streaked aesthetic, French vocals and lack of artistic rules.
“We just do things we love,” Yelle says. “This is the only rule we have. At the end of the day this is what makes Yelle: Spontaneity.” Complètement Fou, which translates to “completely crazy”, was released in Australia last October.
With three studio albums now under their belts, Yelle will begin their 2015 Australian tour in Perth on 25th March. View their tour details in full, below.
UPDATE 14/02/15: Yelle have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour, citing “unforeseen international commitments/conflict” as the reason for the cancellation. The band have ensured they are “working on alternative future plans” but replacement dates have yet to be announced.
