French electro-pop duo Yelle have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour, due to kick off in Perth this March. The band have cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for the cancellation.
“Due to unforeseen international commitments/conflict the upcoming Australia tour has had to be cancelled and we are working on alternative future plans TBA,” said the band in a brief statement.
Co-founded by Yelle, (real name Julie Budet) and GrandMarnier (real name Jean-François Perrier) in 2005, Yelle are known for their unabashed pop energy, neon-streaked aesthetic, French vocals and lack of artistic rules.
They were due to play a run of Australian headline shows this March in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in support of their new album, Complètement Fou. No replacement dates have been announced.
