Yellowcard Announce 2025 ‘Ocean Avenue’ Australian Tour

Yellowcard have announced they will return to Australia in April of 2025, concluding a world tour belatedly celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough fourth album Ocean Avenue. As part of the shows, the band will perform the album in its entirety, as well as a selection of songs from across their discography. The full list of tour dates and ticketing information can be found below.

“It has taken us a long time to sort out bringing the 20th anniversary of Ocean Avenue to Australia, but we promise it will be worth the wait,” the bans said in a joint press statement announcing the tour. “This lineup is so good, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our fans down under.” Indeed, the rest of the line-up is filled out with a similar vein of 2000s pop-punk nostalgia: The band will be joined by Motion City Soundtrack – themselves celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album Commit This To Memory – and Plain White T’s, best known for the 2006 hit ‘Hey There Delilah’.

Yellowcard originally released Ocean Avenue in July of 2003. It is best known for its title track, which was the second single released from the album following ‘Way Away’. The album went on to be certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with ‘Ocean Avenue’ additionally going double Platinum as a single. Two other singles, ‘Only One’ and ‘Breathing’, were also lifted off the album in 2004.

The band last toured Australia in 2017, as part of what was originally intended to be their farewell world tour. Frontman William Ryan Key returned for a solo tour a year later before joining New Found Glory as a touring guitarist, with Yellowcard ultimately reforming in 2022. They released an EP of new material, Childhood Eyes, the following year.
