In honour of devoted fans and in true Aussie Rock style, You Am I have announced they will play a free show in the carpark of the Vic on the Park Hotel in downtown Marrickville, Sydney on New Year’s Day.
The band took to their Facebook page today to make the announcement directly to fans. “Imagine if you will that you wake sans hangover on NY Day, because NYE is a waste of time, realise its a beautiful day, and that in a few hours the very last of the Brew Am I will be on tap at its own outdoor bar,” reads the message.
The show, dubbed the Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Rumblin’ Roadstop Revue, will also feature Australian blues rock band The Snowdroppers, plus Melbourne singer Courtney Barnett and Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson.
