Christmas has come a little bit early for You Am I fans – the band have announced a series of special celebrations to mark their 20th anniversary.
Three of their classic albums – their 1993 debut Sound As Ever, 1995’s Hi Fi Way and 1996’s Hourly Daily will be re-issued in grand style. Remastered Digital and CD versions of the albums will feature plenty of extra tracks, including never-before-released live performances, demos, alternate versions and b-sides.
And, if you pick up the physical CDs, you’ll also score expanded booklets with liner notes, historical information and unseen photos.
On top of this, they’ll be doing some special live shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne – where they’ll tear up the stage playing Hi Fi Way and Hourly Daily in full, back-to-back. The band – Tim Rogers, Andy Kent, Russell Hopkinson and David Lane – will be doing these shows in intimate theatre settings too. Nice one.

After an overwhelming response to the original announcement of their ‘Hi Fi Daily Double’ tour, You Am I have just announced a slew of new shows including an extension of the tour beyond capital cities. If you hesitated and missed out on the first round, buy your tickets now, this will be big.

You Am I has added 4 new shows to their already extensive Hi Fi Daily Double Tour. Fans are obviously hungry to hear classic albums Hi Fi Way (1995) and Hourly Daily (1996) played back-to-back in full and You Am I are happy to oblige.
The 4 new shows will take place in Melbourne, Cairns, Mackay, and at the Darwin Festival. You can find venue details and ticket information below. Don’t forget You Am I are also playing in Hobart at the inaugural Dark MoFo Festival.
