UPDATE 19/10/16: The full program for Face The Music 2016 has now been unveiled.
ORIGINAL STORY: Melbourne music summit Face The Music has added to its already impressive list of first round speakers with a host of international and local industry names.
Following an already announced performance at Melbourne Recital Centre, synth Queen Zola Jesus has been announced as a speaker as well, bringing with her knowledge about touring the world and also recording in isolation.
Our Aussie girl Tkay Maidza will also speak at Face The Music, repping for local hip-hop alongside Briggs who has become a powerful voice within the Australian music scene. Japanese Wallpaper will also bring a perspective of being a musician within Australia.
One who will no doubt have some very interesting insights is live sign language interpreter Amber Galloway, who has performed side-of-stage for everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Destiny’s Child.
These names join online critic Anthony Fantano, triple j‘s Zan Rowe, Hiatus Kaiyote’s Nai Palm and Night High Records’ Nic Kelly who were all announced in the first round of artists.
In addition to this, Face The Music has also announced State Library Victoria as its central hub for 2016.
