2021’s kicked off in a massive way for Jessie Ware already, and to celebrate, she’s shared a new single, ‘Please’ which is lifted from the upcoming deluxe release of her 2020 record What’s Your Pleasure?
Officially titled What’s Your Pleasure? The Platinum Pleasure Edition, the album, which features new songs and more, will be released on Friday, June 11.
‘Please’ sees Ware harken back to 70’s and 80’s dance music, whilst still keeping in stead with the energy she so fervently captured on What’s Your Pleasure?, marking a very poignant sense of continuity.
“I had such an amazing response to the What’s Your Pleasure? record that I didn’t want the lights to go up and the party to be over just yet!” Ware said in the official press release.
“‘Please’ is full of optimism and ready to be played in a place where we can all be together and flirt, dance, touch, and kiss. A wonderful excuse not to stop the party from ending.”
The release of What’s Your Pleasure? saw her hit the UK Top 10 for the fourth time in her career. Ware is up for two BRIT awards thanks to the success of the record. She’s nominated for awards in the Female solo artist and Album of The Year categories. This is the first year in history that four women are up for the AOTY award.
