It’s been almost two years since the release of Alex Lahey‘s last album, but that doesn’t mean she’s not keeping herself busy as May has seen the release of her new track ‘On My Way’.
Now this isn’t just any old single – Lahey was tipped by Netflix to write the song for the soundtrack of the platform’s new animated film The Mitchells vs. The Machines, which stars Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride and Eric Andre.
On Twitter, Lahey described it as “one of my favourite songs I’ve ever worked on”. In addition, the film’s director, Michael Rianda, said Lahey is one of his “favourite artists of all time.
“Her music hits me SO hard. It was a dream come true to have her record a song period. Much less one thats so soulful and beautiful and catchy as hell!”
