Having conquered the international stage with their unique take on the psychedelic-dance game, Aussie expats Miami Horror have announced they will be releasing new material in the coming months, the first being a shiny new single titled Real Slow, the preview of which can be heard below.
According to producer / DJ Benjamin Plant, Real Slow sees the band take a realistic approach to songwriting, choosing a topic which is real to them, rather than an imagined experience – finding the right person, and taking things at a chilled pace. Plant adds:
“I’ve never been a huge fan of listening to songs about love, no matter how painful or joyous they are, they can seem mediocre, but once you have those experiences for yourself then suddenly, all those songs make sense and become something you can really feel.”
The single will be followed up by a double A-side 7″ expected to drop during our Spring. In terms of a new album, the band will be following up 2011’s cracker full-length Illumination with a sophomore album expected to drop during the Autumn of 2014.
To bridge the gap, Miami Horror have released a behind-the-scenes look at how album two is coming along. You can marvel at that below. Real Slow will be released in its entirety Tuesday, 10th September.
