She’s been teasing the release for a minute and now, Shakira has shared her brand new single ‘Don’t Wait Up’. It’s a club-ready banger with a classic EDM beat and the classic party line, “Don’t wait up” repeated throughout.
‘Don’t Wait Up’ starts as a slow burn featuring just Shakira’s iconic vocals. The song builds into a modern-era Shakira bop once the chorus comes in though and the beat is delectable.
The track is Shakira’s first all-English song since 2014. She has opened the doors for a plethora of fellow Latin artists who have burst into international superstardom throughout her career, including Enrique, J Lo, Bad Bunny and Maluma.
