Storm The Sky Announce Break-Up & Final Ever Shows

Storm The Sky are calling it quits after almost a decade.

The Melbourne rockers have taken to Facebook to announce that they’ll be hanging up their guitars, after a few final tour dates.

“This may not come as a huge shock to some of you as we’ve been quite dormant over the last year, but it’s something we’ve only recently decided to do,” the band writes.

Their statement continues:

“We’ve decided that this is the best move for us as individuals, as we all have a desire to explore everything else the world has to offer us having done this for so long! We started this band when we were kids, playing loud music in our parents’ garages and have achieved so much since those early days. Looking back on what we achieved over the last 8 years is something that we’ll be forever proud of and something that we couldn’t have done without the continuous support from all of our fans. We can’t thank all of you enough, you seriously helped us live out our wildest dreams!

We’d also like to thank our amazing tour crew, Jayden Roy, Nish, Chris O’Brien, the team at UNFD, New World Artists, Matt Leost, and Ash Hull who all worked so hard with us over the years. We’d also like to thank Billy & Kchan, the incredible producers we’ve worked with, all the bands we’ve shared the stage with, promoters who have had us on shows, our lovely friends who graciously let us occupy their houses whilst on tour, and our friends and families for their undying support!

It doesn’t even need to be said, but just for the record, we’re all still best mates, I mean how could we not be after everything we went through and accomplished together! In saying that, we’ve decided to get the original “Permanence-era” 6 piece Storm The Sky lineup back together for one last run of shows to say farewell to our fans, and also for a sense of closure for ourselves. We’ll be playing songs which span our entire back catalogue, and we plan on making these final shows very special.

Thank you all again so much for the love and ongoing support you’ve all given us, you’ve made our hearts forever full.”

The William Jarrett-fronted group will be going out with a bang, saying smell ya later with a trio of East Coast dates in January and February of 2019.
