Ya girl Tones and I has released a new single today. ‘Won’t Sleep’ is her follow up to last year’s ‘Fly Away’, it’s a brooding pop release full of really fun, textured percussion.
The production on this one is absolutely ace.
On the song, Tones And I says “I loved writing this song and playing around with the production, the bass and drums. It’s a song about me and my friends staying home and partying through lockdown.”
‘Won’t Sleep’ will come with an accompanying music video. It premieres at 2pm AEST and comes with a trailer you can watch down below.
She premiered the track on triple j yesterday afternoon. While there, Tones confirmed her debut album is very much on the way — joking that she couldn’t wait to not have to fill her sets up with covers.

Tones and I is currently halfway through her national tour. She has three more dates to go at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre from Monday, 17th May to Wednesday, 19th May.
